Abdominoplasty is designed to firm and smooth the abdomen. This cosmetic procedure, known also as a tummy tuck, removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen and
may also tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall. The result is a flatter, tighter abdominal profile. Abdominoplasty is best
suited for women and men who are in relatively good shape, but have loose abdominal skin and/or a significant amount of abdominal
fat that won't respond to dieting or exercise. You are a good candidate for abdominoplasty if you have excess or loose,
sagging skin, an abdomen that protrudes or is out of proportion with the rest of your body, abdominal muscles that have been
weakened by pregnancy or aging, or excess fat that is concentrated beneath the abdominal skin. Most patients undergo liposuction
of the abdomen in conjunction with abdominoplasty. Short scar abdominoplasty's are also available. For more information
regarding abdominoplasty, please contact our office. We are happy to send you a detailed brochure on the procedure.
